The Vyper monocular system is designed based on the standard MILSPEC AN/PVS-14 night vision device currently used by the military, but we've made significant improvements. We replaced the standard military housing with a more robust polymer chassis, addressing the common issue of housing cracks. Additionally, we've integrated a white phosphor Photonis ECHO image intensifier tube and a lightweight Photonis Defense Nightwinder optic set with a 40-degree field of view (FOV). The Nightwinder optics offer the same FOV as military optics but with superior light transmission, reduced distortion, and lighter weight.

The Vyper monocular retains legacy features such as an infrared (IR) illuminator and manual gain control.
